It's Nap Time

Both kids are finally asleep... at the same time! I feel rather victorious, although it was really going to happen sooner or later whether I did anything or not. Regardless of my efforts involved, I'm thankful for nice, sleeping children. I'm also thankful for having a chance to rest my arms. I had no idea that a four-week old person could eat, burp, and repeat for five solid hours. Ten pounds doesn't seem heavy until you hold it for hours at a time.

Since I've been feeding one child or another since I've been awake... and come to think of it, on and off in my sleep... not much else has gotten done. But my day will seem longer since my lovely husband John is out of town for the entirety of the week. Maybe more will get done in my longer days. Time will tell. I'll let you know. Whenever John and I are away from each other, I gain more and more respect for single parents. I can hardly imagine what it would be like to have to try to fill the jobs of both mom and dad every day. I couldn't even remember to take out the garbage this morning.

Now I must make the difficult decision of what to do with nap time. Do I shower? Do I get some necessary reading done? Do I nap as well? Well, considering my brain is so tired I can hardly read what I'm writing, I think two out of three will suffice... and you can likely guess what two I mean. The clock is ticking. Go go go...
