I like my kids in t-shirts. Especially if they have something awesome on the front like a patch from Microcosm. I just used one of Petra's shirts to make the pattern and whipped up this little number in just a few minutes. No, I didn't mean to put the patch on crooked, as my husband asked me when I showed him. And yes, I did catch the fabric a little when I sewed on the patch. But it was my first try. And it's not half bad.

LOL you're so cute :) Sounds about like the same things I'd do! Love the shirt, love the patch. I'm wanting to work on some applique stuff with tshirts and I have a huge pile of outgrown or holey clothing that I want to put to use but oh to find the time! I'm working on getting my sewing area back up and running after a very long hiatus.
ReplyDeleteYeah, my sewing area is taking over my dining room. It's not very cute. I'm about ready to move my office downstairs so I can have a real sewing room...(shared with Petra's crib, of course... because our house is old and tiny).
ReplyDeleteI found this darling album today via a blog I frequent and I thought of you. You should check it out. The download is only $5 and it's just so sweet and pretty and lovely. :)
