My sister-in-law just had a baby girl. I made the baby a sleeping gown out of a shirt from the mama's favorite band,
Showbread. It was super simple, and I found the pattern over at
This Mama Makes Stuff. I added an extra band of about two inches to the bottom after I cut out the pattern because it just didn't seem long enough. The project was a success, and my sister-in-law loved it. I'm sure baby will, too. :)
this is one of the projects I have bookmarked! I just thought it was the coolest idea. I'm sure Laurah loved it! Did you use elastic thread at the bottom? I have some in my stash but I'm afraid to use it because I worry that I'll get the tension all wrong.
ReplyDeleteAww.
ReplyDeleteSHOWBREAD. Oh.
But seriously, very cool Lauren. Your creativity is unmatched by anyone in my immediate life.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Chris, you're so encouraging.
ReplyDeleteAshley, you should totally make it, it's very simple! I used a plain old casing and elastic at the bottom. I'm not too interested in trying elastic thread with my machine. And by not too interested, I mean very afraid. :)
